On Wednesday, July 6th, Burlington’s DPW oversaw the pouring of three new concrete bases for sculptures.
Two of the bases will host new works (stay tuned) and one will be the new home for Follow Your Heart.
By the way, the idea for the round sculpture pads came from DPW’s Frank Anderson, who, after hearing the committee discuss which way to face the concrete pads, suggested they all be round, so any sculpture could face in any direction. This has saved the sculpture park tons of time and effort.
In the photo you see Frank and Nicole Runyon smoothing the freshly poured cement.
Expect to see the new works installed in about a week.
